MC ROD Pic 7-14 copy

The Register of Deeds is an office established by the State Constitution as the official record keeper of legal documents pertaining to real property. These documents include Warranty Deeds, Deeds of Trust, Assignments, Releases, Powers of Attorney, Liens, Restrictions, Plats, Military Discharges, and other miscellaneous documents designated by state law to be recorded by the Register of Deeds. Kim was elected Register of Deeds in 2018 and has over 30 years of service in the office.

Nearly every citizen will invest in real property at some point in their lives. Therefore, the integrity of these records is extremely important and our office strives to be efficient while providing excellent customer service, helping all citizens with their recording processes.

Our office uses a computer imagining system for recording, indexing, storage, and retrieval of all documents. Viewing of documents can be obtained as a paper copy or online. Monroe County records date back to 1820.
Land records can be accessed online with a paid subscription at www.titlesearcher.com or by contacting the Register of Deeds office.
