This Monroe County website is provided as a public service. You may use this system to review and retrieve publicly-available information. By your use of this system, you consent to the monitoring of your use.

In its sole discretion, Monroe County may modify these Terms of Use for reasons including but not limited to a need to address legislative, regulatory, policy, technological, and/or other requirements and/or developments in local government website operation. In no event shall Monroe County, its elected officials, appointed officials, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers (hereinafter “County”) be held liable for any improper or incorrect use of the information described and/or contained herein and assumes no responsibility for any person’s or entities’ use or reliance upon County website links and/or content. In no event shall the County be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, procurement or substitute goods or services; loss of use, data, or profits; or business interruption) however caused and on any theory of liability, whether in contract, strict liability, or tort (including negligence or otherwise) arising in any way out of the use of this system, even if advised of the possibility of such damage. In any situation where the official printed publications of Monroe County differ from the text contained on this website, the official printed documents control.

Security

Site design, implementation and day-to-day operation include certain security measures in keeping with the County’s continuing commitment to the security of electronic content and electronic transmission of information. The form on our “Contact” page does use traditional email methods of delivery and therefore does incorporate the somewhat limited security methods prevalent in traditional residential and commercial email technology.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

The County neither directs online services to children under 13 years of age nor does it knowingly collect personal information from such children. Persons under the age of 13 may provide information on the “Comments” page only if submitted with parents or guardians. If you are under 13, ask your parents or guardian for help when using this or any other website.

User Information

Other than anonymous visit and use counts to help us better manage the site, we collect only information visitors/users voluntarily provide. Users are asked for “Personal information” (information relating to an identified or identifiable person who is the subject of the information) on our “Contact” page. This allows us to respond to visitor/user questions and comments directly. By selecting a department from the available “dropdown” visitors/users direct comments/ questions to the department selected. Correspondence will be managed in keeping with its nature and related legal requirements.
Information provided to the County by personal visit, mail, or its web site, shall be managed as all other public records pursuant to State and/or Federal law and is subject to the rules and requirements of TCA Title 10 Chapter 7. Any information collected at this site could be made available to the public in compliance with applicable public record laws.

No information on this website should be construed in any manner as giving business, legal or other advice. The County further disclaims any warranty as fail-proof, the accuracy, security, of information provided via the internet or the County website.
